Alcatel selected for Ameritech's UltimateLink(SM) SONET service offering and network upgrades.


RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 1995--Ameritech has selected Alcatel Network Systems as the primary SONET (synchronous optical network (networking) Synchronous Optical NETwork - (SONET) A broadband networking standard based on point-to-point optical fibre networks.
