: ALA) has chosen the ATG Dynamo A family of e-commerce and CRM applications from Art Technology Group, Inc., Cambridge, MA (www.atg.com). Part of ATG's core marketing Adaptive Scenario Engine, Dynamo comprises a comprehensive set of Java-based products that enable an organization to deploy a fully-integrated customer (R) e-Business Platform as one of the foundations for its global e-business initiatives. Alcatel will migrate its Websites in each country to run on a consolidated framework with ATG Dynamo as a key foundational element.

Alcatel has been using ATG Dynamo to support sophisticated Intranet and Internet sites for its Broadband Networking Division. The company will leverage the capabilities of the ATG Dynamo platform to enhance the site with greater eCRM capabilities, to consolidate international sites to a common infrastructure, and to develop new, business-to-business Web initiatives to better manage customer relationships for every division of Alcatel.

The scalability of ATG Dynamo supports Alcatel's global requirements to provide access to information and transaction capabilities to customers worldwide. The current implementation utilized by the Broadband Networking Division is used to access news, product information, and transact with back office systems.

When deployed, the new global exchange will extend the breadth of those capabilities by utilizing the personalization capabilities of ATG Dynamo e-Business Scenarios. Alcatel will utilize scenarios to offer registered users a customized view into the account extranets, specific to their location, business needs and online behavior.
