Alcatel Completes Construction for Level 3's European Ring 1 Network in France and Germany.

: ALA) today announced that it has completed Ring 1 network construction for Level 3 in France and Germany.

The 1400 km French and German portions of the Level 3 network connect Calais, Lille, Amiens, Paris, Nancy, Strasbourg, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, among other cities. Alcatel was selected by Level 3 for the deployment of infrastructure and optical fibre cable in the French and German portions of Ring 1 of its European network as well as the cross-channel submarine link between Belgium and the UK.

The French and German portions of the Level 3 network are part of the approximately 3,000 kilometer kilometer
