The bride is the daughter of Mr. Thomas Daniel Albritton of Clinton and Mrs. Gary Lamar Downey of Quitman. Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. William Arthur Albritton and the late Mr. Albritton and the late Mr. Jack Edward Jenkins. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Franklin Watson, Jr. of Jackson. Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. George Franklin Watson, Sr. and the late Mr. Watson and Mrs. Richard Alan Gilbert and the late Mr. Gilbert.

Michael Albritton, cousin of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra string quartet, organist Ruth Keyes, trumpeter Robert Cheesman, and vocalist Heather Burczynski provided nuptial music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Amsale gown of ivory silk satin organza or·gan·za
