has announced that it has appointed
Larry Wahlstrom as president of its Jewel-Osco division. Wahlstrom
succeeds Pete Van Helden, who was recently named president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. of
the company's newly formed California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W). food division. Wahlstrom has
worked for the company for 33 years and has held a wide variety of
leadership roles in both drugstore and food operations, including vice
president for the Osco New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt. division as well as president of the
Albertsons Florida food division. Most recently he served as senior vice
president of mergers and integration, with responsibility for the
integration of Shaw's and Star Markets, which the company acquired
in April.
