:ABS) reports sales trends for the four-week period ended December 31, 1998. Total sales increased 11.5%; identical store sales increased 1.2% and comparable store sales (which include replacement stores) increased 1.4% over the similar four-week period last year.

For the nine-week period ended December 31, 1998, total sales increased 11.0%; identical store sales increased 0.9% and comparable store sales increased 1.0% over the similar nine-week period last year.
