collection system in the new waste entombment cell being developed at the Landfill. This quantity represents 200,000 scrap tires that will be recycled by this project. The Tire Recycling Tire recycling is the process of recycling vehicles tires (or tyres) that are no longer suitable for use on vehicles due to wear or irreparable damage (such as punctures).  Management Board has approved the project for inclusion under the Tire Recycling Industry Incentive Program, which qualifies ALW for incentive payments of approximately $260,000.00. Shipping of the material will commence immediately and delivery will be completed within the next ten (10) business days with payment of the incentive to follow shortly thereafter.

This project is part of an overall alliance between the City of Leduc and ALW whereby ALW is removing the scrap tire stockpile stock·pile
