Alberta Waste Resources & Energy Corporation (ALW) announces that the Company has completed the purchase of the industrial tire shredder used in the operation of the Company's scrap tire facility in Wetaskiwin, Alberta “Wetaskiwin” redirects here. Wetaskiwin is a small city in the province of Alberta, Canada (pronounced IPA: /wəˈtæskɨwɨn/).

 Shredding Systems Inc., an industry leader in the manufacturing of recycling equipment, for US$199,900.00 Dlls. This was funded by way of a Small Business Loan from the Royal Bank of Canada Bank of Canada

 in the amount of $190,000.00 (Canadian funds) and the balance of $90,000.00 (Canadian funds) from funds paid by ALW. This financing will reduce the monthly shredder payment under current financing by more than $10,000.00 per month.

Shareholders of the Company have exercised 1,233,333 share purchase warrants at a price of $0.20 per warrant. The total proceeds to be received by ALW is $246,666.60. The warrants expired on November 15, 1996. -0- The Alberta Stock Exchange has neither approved nor disapproved the information contained herein.
