Albert Bothe Jr., MD, is associate chief medical officer and chief quality officer for Geisinger Health System The Geisinger Health System (GHS) is a physician-led health care system of northeastern and central Pennsylvania with headquarters located in Danville, Pennsylvania.  in Danville, Pa. Prior to coming to Geisinger, Bothe served in numerous roles at the University of Chicago including associate dean and executive director of the faculty practice plan and professor of surgery. He was previously associated with New England Deaconess Hospital, Boston, Mass., in a number of positions. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University Johns Hopkins University, mainly at Baltimore, Md. Johns Hopkins in 1867 had a group of his associates incorporated as the trustees of a university and a hospital, endowing each with $3.5 million. Daniel C. , he earned a BMS degree at Dartmouth Medical School Dartmouth Medical School is the medical school of Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire. The school is closely affiliated with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in neighboring Lebanon, New Hampshire.  and his Doctor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School Harvard Medical School (HMS) is one of the graduate schools of Harvard University. It is a prestigious American medical school located in the Longwood Medical Area of the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. . Bothe also holds a Masters of Medical Management degree from the Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. The author and co-author of numerous articles, books and monographs on a variety of health and medical issues and topics, Bothe is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, often listed as "FACS", is a post-nominal title used to indicate that the surgeon's education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be , member of the Association for Academic Surgery, and a member of the Board of Advisors, American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
