 royalties for the third quarter of 1999 were $5.8 million, a 79% incrf 1998. Royalty revenue is earned from worldwidis.

Net contract revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 1999 increased 54% to $14.8 million, compared to net contract revenue of $9.6 million in the same period of 1998. For the nine-month period ended September 30, 1999, recurring royalties increased by 92% to $15.9 million, compared to $8.3 million during the same period in 1998. During the nine months ended September 30, 1998, the Company also received $7.4 million in non-recurring milestone payments and royalties attributable to prior periods.
