Previously, he was the founder, president and chief executive officer of ChemGenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (formerly Myco Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) until its acquisition by Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: MLNM) in 1997. Before that, he co-founded Magainin Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
