Aktino, the first company to enable the delivery of business-class broadband services throughout the carrier serving area (CSA) over embedded copper loops, today announced that Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA), an Alaskan communications cooperative with over 60,000 access lines, has deployed its AK3000 platform to meet the growing demand for bandwidth and reliability at its wireless cell sites.

MTA now can deliver carrier-grade full and fractional DS3 to a majority of the cell sites in its footprint and to its business customers served by copper.

The major wireless service provider that MTA serves needed a full channelized DS3 at one of its many cell sites in the MTA footprint.
