Alaska USA credit union to acquire Insurance Brokers.Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, one of the nation's largest federal credit unions, said it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Ribelin Lowell Lowell National Historical Park, which also traces 19th-century industrial development (see National Parks and Monuments (table)); the American Textile History Museum is adjacent. A campus of the Univ. of Massachusetts is in Lowell. The city has several fine parks, and James Whistler's birthplace is preserved. Ribelin Lowell is the largest independent and locally owned insurance brokerage in Alaska and has locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Soldotna, the credit union said in a statement. It offers business insurance and personal insurance, which includes home, auto and boat, throughout the state. The company will operate as Ribelin Lowell Alaska USA Insurance. Ribelin Lowell's president and owner, Richard Lowell, will remain affiliated with the company in a consulting capacity, Alaska USA said. |
