Alaska USA FCU selects Metavante's online LOS.Milwaukee-based Metavante Corporation, the financial technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation, announced that Anchorage, Alaska-based Alaska USA Federal Credit Union (Alaska USA FCU) has licensed Metavante's Web-based Loan Origination Studio (LOS); Workshop toolkit; and Loanportal, its integrated third-party services gateway. Metavante will provide Alaska USA FCU with an online LOS origination solution from its Wayne, Pennsylvania-based GHR Systems Inc. affiliate. Agent, GHR's LOS point-of-sale system module, will enable Alaska USA FCU to automate the mortgage sales process and boost loan officer productivity and customer satisfaction by shortening the loan origination process and matching customers with best-fit loan products, according to Cy Brinn, president of GHR Systems. "We are pleased to provide Alaska USA FCU with a Web-based solution that can be accessed from any online connection," said Brinn. With GHR's Workshop toolkit, Alaska USA FCU will be able to modify and add screens, workflows, data fields, interfaces, reports and forms to meet ongoing needs--anything from unique call-center scripting screens to additional cross-marketing data elements. Workshop uses industry-standard tools such as hypertext markup language (HTML) editing and Microsoft[R] Visual Basic[R] Scripting, which will enable Alaska USA FCU to quickly implement new changes. Workshop is part of GHR's Joint Development Environment, which will allow Alaska USA FCU and GHR to jointly manage custom software changes for Alaska FCU. GHR's Loanportal is a centralized Web-based transaction gateway that offers access to third-party services such as credit reports, flood certifications, title orders, automated property valuations (AVMs) and full appraisals, as well as secondary-market investor automated underwriting systems. "We selected GHR because [its] systems will provide us with the features and flexibility we need to fulfill our business goals," said B. John Shipe, Alaska USA FCU's chief information officer. "GHR's open architecture also allows for integration into existing applications, which will make it easier for us to manage across all platforms and enhance loan volumes." |
