Ann Rothe joined the Alaska Conservation Foundation as program
officer. Rothe's work will focus on oceans, mining and other
issues. She is a wildlife biologist who has worked for the Alaska
Department of Natural Resources, the U.S. Department of the Interior and
the National Audubon Society. Rothe established the National Wildlife
Federation's Alaska office and helped create the Prince William
Sound Regional Citizens' Advisory Council. Rothe also served a
10-year term as executive director for Trustees for Alaska. She most
recently worked as an environmental consultant and wrote, edited and
researched various topics, including oil and gas requirements for
restoration of leased lands and environmental impacts of large-scale
mining in Alaska.
