Alaska Communications Systems Wins RCA Excellence in Marketing Award.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (NASDAQ:ALSK) today announced it was awarded the Rural Cellular Association's (RCA) "Excellence in Marketing" award for television.

Rebecca Garcia, Manager of Product Sales and Marketing, accepted the national award on behalf of ACS at the RCA's Business Development Seminar in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The 60-second television spot features the ON ACS program, which rewards consumers having both ACS local and wireless service. The commercial was created and produced by Lottsfeldt Strategies & Creative. The ad features active Alaskans and their ability to remain connected through ACS.
