Alaska Communications Systems Appoints S. Lynn Erwin as Vice President of Human Resources.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (NASDAQ:ALSK) announces the appointment of S. Lynn Erwin as Vice President of Human Resources at ACS.

"In her career at ACS, Lynn has worked on a wide range of legal and business matters. She brings a sophisticated understanding of the strategic direction of ACS and the role human resources will play in the company's future," said Liane Pelletier, ACS CEO and president. Erwin has been the acting executive of human resources over the last two months. Erwin has also served the ACS legal department in various positions over the last six years, including most recently as Chief Regulatory Counsel.

Erwin's distinguished career includes approximately 13 years of legal practice in the state of Alaska with a focus on employment, labor, and tort law with Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, an Anchorage law firm, and the Municipality of Anchorage. Erwin has been admitted to practice before Alaska State and Federal District Courts, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Erwin also spent several years working in the Anchorage hotel industry in management positions.

Erwin was born and raised in Alaska. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Gonzaga University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington.
