Alaska Airlines Responds to Dateline NBC Press Release.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 2000

Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  today issued the following statement regarding a press release issued by "Dateline NBC Dateline NBC, or Dateline, is a U.S. weekly television newsmagazine broadcast by NBC similar to ABC's 20/20 or CBS's 60 Minutes. The show, which has aired since 1992, is currently anchored by Ann Curry.
" promoting an interview it will air Tuesday night with John Liotine, an Alaska mechanic.

According to the press release, Liotine identifies himself as the mechanic who said in 1997 that the jackscrew jackscrew: see screw.  should be changed on the aircraft involved in the Flight 261 tragedy.
