The offer, which gives a 5000-mile discount off a coach Saver Award, is good for any destination served by Alaska or Horizon. Mileage Plan members also receive 1,000 bonus miles by booking the award online at www.alaskaair.com.

"More people are flying each week, but there are still seats for award travel," said Gregg Saretsky, Alaska's senior vice president of marketing and planning. "Combined with the 1,000 mile bonus for booking award travel online -- essentially a rebate -- our award sale is the best mileage offer on the market. Our new on-line award feature, introduced late this summer, is an enhancement customers have been asking for."

Mileage Plan members can fly coach to any Alaska or Horizon destination within the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  or Canada for only 15,000 miles, rather than the normal 20,000 miles, or travel to any of Alaska's five Mexico resort destinations for only 25,000 miles rather than the normal 30,000.
