Alaska Airlines Plans Anchorage -- Vancouver Nonstop, Increases Anchorage -- Portland Service.

Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  announced today that it will initiate non-stop non-stop non adjununterbrochen;

The new service will begin June 8. That same day, Alaska will add a second daily non-stop flight A non-stop flight in the aviation industry refers to any flight which does not involve any intermediate stops. Many laymen mistakenly assume that a "direct flight" is similar to a "non-stop flight".  between Seattle and New York/Newark, which is timed for easy connections to the state of Alaska.

All of the new flying is planned for seasonal service through early September.

The Vancouver flight will depart Anchorage as Flight 102 at 1:01 p.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 5:19 p.m. On the return, Flight 105 departs Vancouver at 1:10 p.m. and arrives in Anchorage at 3:34 p.m.

Alaska recently announced non-stop service between Seattle and Orlando. The Orlando flight, along with flights to Alaska Airlines' other East Coast destinations, is timed for connections to Anchorage, Juneau and other Alaska cities.
