Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Members Now Can Donate Miles to the Red Cross.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2001

Members of the Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  Mileage MILEAGE. "These donated miles will allow the Red Cross to use funds normally reserved for transportation for other purposes in the wake of the tragic events of September 11," said Bill MacKay, Alaska's vice president of public and government affairs.

The Seattle Red Cross will administer the use of donated miles for travel by staff and volunteers anywhere Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air fly.

To donate miles, Mileage Plan members can send an e-mail to red.cross@alaskaair.com with the member's name, Mileage Plan number and the amount of miles to donate. Or members can speak to a Mileage Plan representative directly at 1-800-654-5669.
