Alaska Airlines Announces Russian Far East Summer Special.


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 1998--Travel to or from the Russian Far East Russian Far East, formerly Soviet Far East, federal district (1989 est. pop. 7,941,000), c.2,400,000 sq mi (6,216,000 sq km), encompassing the entire northeast coast of Asia and including the Sakha Republic, Maritime Territory (Primorsky Kray),  on Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  and save this summer.

Special fares are available between Vladivostok Vladivostok (vlă'dĭvŏ`stŏk, –vəstŏk`, Rus. vlä'dyēvəstôk`), city (1989 pop. 634,000), capital of Maritime Territory (Primorsky Kray), Russian Far East, on a peninsula that extends between two bays , Khabarovsk Khabarovsk (khəbä`rəfsk, khəbərôfsk`), city (1989 pop. 601,000), capital of Khabarovsk Territory and the administrative center of the Far East district, Russian Far East, on the Amur River near its junction with the Ussuri.  and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and selected West Coast cities. -0-

Reservations must be made at least 14 days prior to departure and tickets must be purchased no later than seven days after reservations are confirmed. A minimum stay of five days is required. Stopovers are not permitted in other cities. Fares are non-refundable and may not be combined with any other fare. Other fees and restrictions apply.

Alaska Airlines began scheduled service to the Russian Far East in 1991 and now serves more destinations in Russia than any other U.S. carrier.
