Alaska Airlines Announces Fall Fare Sale.


SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 1997--Don't worry if you didn't have time for a summer vacation Summer vacation (also called summer holidays or summer break) is a vacation in the summertime between school years in which students are off for 3 months, depending on the country and district.  -- Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  is offering special low fares right now for travel this fall.

Fares as much as 36 percent off the lowest published fares are available in all Alaska's markets in the Lower 48 for travel between Aug. 18 and Dec. 16.

"Traditionally, carriers have more seats available during the fall than during the peak summer travel season, so this is an excellent opportunity for people to take advantage of extra seats and travel at a significant savings," said Bill Ayer Bill S. Sample fares include:

-- Seattle or Portland to Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. : $66 (a savings up to 36

percent);

-- Seattle or Portland to the Bay Area: $42 (a savings of 32

percent);

-- Seattle or Portland to Spokane: $27 (a savings of 31 percent);

and

-- Seattle or Portland to San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. : $66 (a savings of 29

percent).

Tickets must be purchase by July 13. Fares quoted are one way and do not require round-trip travel. Some fares carry an additional $10 premium for travel occurring on peak travel days. Tickets are non-refundable. Some blackout dates apply. Other fees and restrictions apply.
