Alaska Airlines Announces ''Kids Fly Free'' to Disneyland to Celebrate Launch of the New ''Spirit of Disneyland'' Airplane.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 2002

Kids going to the "Happiest Place on Earth" may now fly free on the happiest plane in the air.

The faces of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy take to the skies on the "Spirit of Disneyland," Alaska Alaska (əlă`skə), largest in area of the United States but third smallest (exceeding only Vermont and Wyoming) in population, occupying the northwest extremity of the North American continent, separated from the coterminous United States by W Canada. Airlines' newly-painted Boeing 737-400, marking the first time a major U.S. airline has painted one of its aircraft with Disney theme park characters.

To celebrate, Alaska Airlines Vacations announces the return of "Kids Fly Free." From January 6 through May 21, Kids Fly Free with a Southern California Vacations Package. And to make the offer even sweeter, customers will receive a fourth night free at participating hotels -- including Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Packages must be booked by March 12.

With an Alaska Airlines Vacations Package to the Disneyland Resort area, one child from 2 to 11-years-old flies free per paying adult roundtrip to Orange County, LAX, Burbank, Ontario, Long Beach or San Diego.

The vacation package includes accommodations at a select hotel, five days of unlimited Park Hopping between Disneyland park and Disney's California Adventure park for the price of three days, airport transfers where applicable, a free Alaska Airlines single-use camera and two 10-minute calling cards. Both the child and the adult can receive 1,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan bonus miles and a collectible, limited-edition "Spirit of Disneyland" pin set.

Kids Fly Free is available from most Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air cities along the West Coast, and in Canada and Alaska. Transportation will be on one of Alaska's 102 airplanes, perhaps even the "the Spirit of Disneyland" or, depending on the point of departure, on Horizon Air.

The nation's ninth largest carrier, Alaska Airlines celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. Alaska and its partner, Horizon Air, serve 83 cities in Alaska, the Lower 48, Canada and Mexico.
