Alaska, Horizon Plan to Operate 65 Percent of Schedule Throughout Weekend; Standby Space Available for Travel.

Both carriers plan to operate flights in nearly all cities they serve, with the exception of international flights to Canada and Mexico. Alaska also will not operate service to Washington, D.C.

Flights will be launched beginning at approximately 6 a.m. Pacific Time each day. Ticketed customers and customers planning to travel on standby can check the status of individual flights on line at www.alaskaair.com and www.horizonair.com.

Customers should keep the following items in mind before they arrive at the airport:
-- Passengers must present government-issued photo identification such as a
driver's license, passport or identification card before boarding their flight.


-- Due to the increased level of security screening at all airports, plan on
arriving at the airport at least two hours before departure for all flights.

-- Only passengers holding an electronic ticket confirmation letter, a travel
agency itinerary, an Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air itinerary, a boarding pass
or paper ticket will be allowed beyond security checkpoints.

-- Customers traveling with an electronic ticket can check in and obtain a
boarding pass at any Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air Instant Travel Machine,
including off-site locations such as car rental agencies, airport parking lots
and hotels.

-- Baggage will no longer be accepted for check in at curbside or off-airport
locations.

-- Neither Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air are accepting unaccompanied minors
until further notice.

-- Passengers are not permitted to carry knives of any size.
