AlarmPoint Systems is headquartered in Pleasanton, California with European operations based in Richmond, Surrey, U.K. GNM Alarm Point is set-up in reverse of the way we work. GNM has Groups, Accts then Rotations (schedules). We have Schedules (Rotations) then Accounts that fall under that rotation

Our rotation schedule supports multiple accounts. With GNM, each account has to have a separate rotation schedule defined. We have to redefine the same rotation over and over for each separate account.

Our rotation schedule has two shifts during any given weekday, off-shift and primetime. The primetime is the backup for the off-shift. The GNM tool is unable to handle this; it can only handle escalation within a shift, not from one shift to another. For example: when a page is made during offshift hours and is not acknowledged, GNM escalates to the next off-shift person who may not be oncall for several more weeks.

This product is cludgy and not user intuitive. It is very difficult to make changes to oncall schedules. I would not recommend it. |
