Previously, Dr. Lumsden served as Chief of General Vascular Surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.

At Baylor, Dr. Lumsden splits his time between managing his practice as Chief of Vascular and Endovascular surgery and directing a team of doctors, nurses, and technicians, to perform innovative clinical studies that incorporate new technologies to study, diagnose, and improve treatments for vascular disease. He has contributed more than 200 articles to scholarly and professional journals; authored or co-authored 29 book chapters; participated in 40 scientific exhibitions; and made 171 presentations to professional audiences. His subjects have included the study and treatments of aortic aneurysms, endovascular surgery in kidneys, cardiovascular disease Cardiovascular disease
