Alan L. Earhart Joins NetScreen Technologies Board of Directors.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2003

NetScreen Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:NSCN), today announced that Alan L. Earhart, former managing partner of the Silicon Valley offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, has been elected to NetScreen's board of directors.

With more than 30 years experience as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and its predecessor companies, Earhart brings a wealth of experience in working with leading Silicon Valley companies. During his tenure at PWC, Earhart was the executive partner of the Cisco Systems account and the engagement partner for Varian Inc., Polycom Inc. and several other clients. He first joined Coopers & Lybrand's San Francisco office in 1970 and became audit partner for its San Jose office in 1980 where he served numerous technology companies in the Bay Area. In 1991, he became managing partner of the San Jose office and in 1994 Earhart was promoted to San Francisco regional managing partner responsible for several offices located in the western United States. Earhart's last position at PWC was managing partner for PWC's Silicon Valley offices until his retirement in 2001.
