Mr. Katz became Publisher of Cargo in May, 2003, where he oversaw the 2004 launch of the magazine. Katz joined Conde Nast from New York magazine, where he was named Publisher in 1999. Previously, he held various advertising positions at New York after joining the company in 1989 as a sales representative.

Mr. Katz graduated from William Paterson University William Paterson University is a public university located in Wayne, New Jersey, an affluent suburb of New York City. It is set on 370 wooded acres in northeast New Jersey, the campus is located just 20 miles west of New York City. The University has 10,970 students. . He lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.

It is a unit of the Advance Magazine Group, which includes Conde Nast Publications, Fairchild Publications, Parade Publications, Golf Digest Golf Digest is a monthly golf magazine published by Advance Publications in the United States.
