The former Federal Reserve chairman headlines an illustrious group of confirmed speakers for the first annual event, organized by PODER Magazine and hosted by the Inter-American Development Bank Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

international organization founded in 1959 by 20 governments in North and South America to finance economic and social development in the Western Hemisphere.

PODER Forecast 2007 is a morning-long, invitation-only event Co presented by Grupo Televisa in partnership with Georgetown and Columbia Universities Co for high-level business executives, and political and academic leaders.

The event will begin at 8:30 am with opening remarks by IDB (ITS Data Bus) An interface between devices in an automobile endorsed by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Designed to fulfill the goal of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), the ITS Data Bus enables engine diagnostic equipment, GPS navigation systems,  president Luis Alberto Moreno Luis Alberto Moreno (born May 3,1953) is a Colombian diplomat and journalist. He was elected president of the Inter-American Development Bank in July 2005.

Moreno was appointed to be Colombia’s Ambassador to the United States in September 1998 by President AndrĂ©s
. Richard Levin, president of Yale University, will follow with a speech and a question and answer session on the global university.

The event consists of two interactive sessions: the Future of Media and Technology, moderated by Alberto Ibarguen, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and president of the John S. and James L. Session leaders are: Don Browne, president, Telemundo; Ralph de la Vega Ralph de la Vega, a native of Cuba, is the President and CEO - AT&T Mobility.Previously, he was the President of Latin America Operations, and the President of Broadband and Internet Services for BellSouth's operations in ten countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia,Venezuela, , COO, Cingular; Dan Rather, HDNet; Jason Pontin, editor-in-chief, Technology Review (M.I.T.); Alfonso de Angoitia, executive vice president, Grupo Televisa; and Enrique Senior, managing director, Allen & Co. Inc.

The second session is entitled The Business Climate in 2007, and will be moderated by the editor-in-chief of Foreign Policy magazine, Moises Naim. Session leaders are: Emilio Azcarraga, chairman, president and CEO, Grupo Televisa; Roel Campos, commissioner, Securities and Exchange Commission; Edward J. Mathias, managing director, The Carlyle Group; Alberto J. Verme, managing director and Global Co-Head of Investment Banking, Citigroup; and Jay S. Sidhu, non-executive chairman, Sovereign Bancorp.

The session format encourages a give and take between the panel and audience members as moderators lead the session leaders (panelists) towards an outcome-driven exchange of ideas. Participants will share their experiences and draw upon their collective knowledge to identify the trends, opportunities and new challenges the will shape the Americas and much of the rest of the world in the coming year.

The morning wraps up with an hour-long talk by Alan Greenspan on the U.S. Economy in 2007. Mr. Greenspan will also take questions from audience members in a session moderated by Alfonso de Angoitia, executive vice president, Grupo Televisa. This session is NOT OPEN TO THE PRESS.
