Alamos Minerals Ltd. - Yecorato 51 Claims.VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 4, 1997-- Alamos The name Álamos can refer to the following:
VSE - Virtual Storage Extended : AAS.) In a release dated January 30, 1997, Francisco Gold Corp. (FGX FGX Finger Lakes (region in upper New York state) .T) reported drill results from its El Sauzal El Sauzal (Spanish meaning Slaughter of Acentejo in which the Spanish won in 1494) is located on the north coast of Tenerife 19 to 20 km E of Puerto de la Cruz, about 20 km SSW of the island's capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, NE of Los Cristianos and Las Américas of Arona and WSW Gold project in Chihauhau State, Mexico. The release stated that a "...phase 1 drill program has outlined a bulk tonnage, high grade, gold resource exceeding two million ounces." As illustrated in the attached claim map, a 1,850 hectare block of claims named "Yecorato 51" is largely enclosed within the El Sauzal claim group. The Yecorato claims were staked by Alamos Minerals in 1995, based on remote sensing technology. This remote sensing survey indicated that a large area of possible mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. lies in the central-southern portion of the Yecorato claim. Alamos subsequently entered into an arrangement with Queenstake Resources Ltd. (QTR QTR Quarter QTR Qatar Airways (ICAO code) QTR Exact Time (American Radio Relay League - Amateur Handbook) QTR Qualification Test Report .T) wherein Queenstake earned a 60 percent equity in the property. Queenstake has done a limited amount of work on these claims however their geologists have noted that the mineralization on the El Sauzal property lies adjacent to the Queenstake-Alamos claim boundary, and in close proximity to the remote sensing anomalies on the Yecorato 51 claims. Alamos and Queenstake are hopeful that the Yecorato claims will prove to host an orebody similar to El Sauzal. An exploration program is being planned by Queenstake to further determine the potential of the Yecorato 51 property. Alamos intends to contribute its 40 percent share of the cost of this program.
