Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of emBoot. "Our boot capability for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008 combines nicely with Alacritech's advanced Scalable Network Accelerators to not only provide a seamless boot solution but to also improve server performance."

A trial version of winBoot/i that customers can use with their Alacritech Scalable Network Accelerators is now available for download at www.alacritech.com. Organizations that support many servers can benefit from the advanced boot features of winBoot/i v2.1. By freeing a server of its boot volume, administrators are further able to reduce both the cost and complexity of management, making their iSCSI SAN investment truly pay off.

Alacritech Accelerators with native support for winBoot/i v2.1 provides a number of valuable new capabilities including support for assigning multiple iSCSI boot targets with automatic failover to increase system availability, Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS See Vcc. ), and support of Windows crash-dump diagnostics.

"emBoot's newest winBoot/i v2.1 combined with Alacritech's SNAs provide customers with the unprecedented ability to configure new servers, restore failed servers and manage boot volumes faster and easier than iSCSI HBAs," stated Doug Rainbolt, vice president sales and marketing, Alacritech. "Our expanded partnership continues to reduce the total cost of IT ownership by maximizing consolidation of server resources and simplifying management by centralizing the boot process."
