Alacritech Enhances iSCSI SAN Boot Capability With emBoot's winBoot/i 2.1.

SAN JOSE, Calif. & DALLAS -- Alacritech Inc., the leader of innovative data-delivery technology, today announced its Scalable Network Accelerators (SNAs) will provide native support and enable a seamless iSCSI boot solution using emBoot's winBoot/i v2.1. winBoot/i enables iSCSI boot of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 using the Microsoft iSCSI software initiator without requiring expensive iSCSI Host Bus Adapters (HBAs).

Alacritech Accelerators with native support for winBoot/i v2.1 provides a number of valuable new capabilities including support for assigning multiple iSCSI boot targets with automatic failover to increase system availability, Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS), and support of Windows crash-dump diagnostics.
