Background: Alacritech, Inc. is the world's leading supplier of
            standards-based, scalable networking technology and
solutions that enable the highest performance and
efficiency in networked systems. The company was founded
in 1997 by computer industry visionary Larry Boucher, who
is well-respected for his groundbreaking innovations in
the areas of server adapter, storage, and scalable
networking technologies. Mr. Boucher is considered one of
Silicon Valley's most successful "serial" entrepreneurs,
having also founded Auspex Systems, Inc. and Adaptec, Inc.
A technical pioneer, Mr. Boucher is credited with creating
the Small Computer Systems Interface (SCSI) protocol in
1979 which is now the industry standard for connecting
storage and other peripherals to PCs and servers. He also
pioneered the networked file system design that is the
basis of today's network-attached storage (NAS) model.

Mr. Boucher founded Alacritech to develop and patent SLIC
            Technology(R), a scalable Dynamic TCP Offload(TM)
            architecture that eliminates network processing
bottlenecks and closes the I/O processing gap. Even as
network speeds increase, SLIC Technology scales to address
the performance and interconnect requirements of future
networking and I/O initiatives. Alacritech's complete line
of Accelerators, based on this architecture, optimize data
delivery in servers, network-attached storage and iSCSI
storage devices. As the innovator of Dynamic TCP offload
technologies, Alacritech now holds 19 patents relating to
scalable networking. For more information about Alacritech
and its products and technology, please visit the
