Al-Fejah Spring ,C* Damascus lifeline.


Damascus, (SANA)-Ain Al-Fejah region has been one of the most important tourist attractions in Damascus countryside for hundred years due to its attractive location that embraces plains, mountains and trees in addition to Barada River which creeps throughout its farms.  name of the main Spring in the region and it means the pure freshwater, said the Mayor of the region. The archeological findings indicate that the region was inhabited thousand years ago where you can see the Greek ruins and the relics relics, part of the body of a saint or a thing closely connected with the saint in life. In traditional Christian belief they have had great importance, and miracles have often been associated with them.  ofAaa Roman temple at the outlet of the Spring where people used to make offerings to al-Fejah God at that site. , the Mayor added.The region has many important tourist attractions such as restaurants that provide different popular dishes and the luxurious tourist facilities in addition to the moderate atmosphere in summer and Barada River that supplies the region with freshwater. Al-Fejah region embraces different fruitful orchards such as grape, fig and pomegranate pomegranate (pŏm`grănĭt, pŏm`ə–), handsome deciduous and somewhat thorny large shrub or small tree (Punica granatum  orchards in addition to the forests where willow and sycamore trees spread on the banks of the river creating an aesthetic picture. Al-Fejah Spring is the lifeline of Damascus governorate and there have been many attempts to draw its water to the governorate since the Roman age.Damascus history has always been connected with al-Fejah Spring that is considered one of the purest springs in the world which conforms to the standard specifications of World Health Organization.
