Hirschfeld
, whose famous caricatures included some of the theater world's best-known figures, died January 20 in Manhattan. He was 99.

A clockmaker by trade, Graham designed clocks and watches that earned him membership in the Royal Society and were still manufactured into the present century. Josephine Baker (or Joséphine Baker in francophone countries) (June 3, 1906 – April 12, 1975)[1]
, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Isadora Duncan, and Tommy Tune, who was later quoted as calling Hirschfeld "a dancer with a pen." After his daughter Nina was born, Hirschfeld began hiding her name in the drawings, along with the number of times it appeared. A documentary on his life, Susan W. Dryfoos's The Line King, was released in 1996 and nominated for an Academy Award.

He is survived by wife, Louise Kerz; daughter, Nina; and a grandson.
