Akram rejects Donald's theory on legalizing ball tampering.Byline: ANI Lahore, July 29 (ANI): Former Pakistan speedster speed·ster n. 1. One who drives very fast. 2. A fast car. Wasim Akram Wasim Akram (Urdu: وسیم اکرم) (born June 3, 1966 in Lahore, Punjab) is a former Pakistani cricketer. He was a left-arm fast bowler and left-handed batsman, who represented the Pakistani cricket team in Tests and One-Day has rejected former South African fast bowler Allan Donald's suggestions of legalizing ball tampering. Akram said bowlers would not be benefited much if they are allowed to alter the state of the cricket ball during a match. "I don't agree with him (Donald) at all. Reverse-swing comes in late after bowling on a flat track. Whatever Donald is saying about legalising ball tampering, it doesn't matter. The ball will swing anyways an·y·ways adv. Nonstandard In any case. Adv. 1. anyways - used to indicate that a statement explains or supports a previous statement; "Anyhow, he is dead now"; "I think they're asleep; anyhow, they're quiet"; "I and so it's not going to make any difference if you legalise Verb 1. legalise - make legal; "Marijuana should be legalized" decriminalise, decriminalize, legalize, legitimate, legitimatise, legitimatize, legitimise, legitimize it or not," said Akram. Akram, arguably one of the greatest swing bowler, laughed off Donald's suggestion saying balls needed to be at least 25-30 overs old to swing. "Even If it's legalised, I don't think it's going to reverse-swing with the new ball. The ball has to be at least 25 to 30 overs old. So, it's just a joke to start off with." Akram said. "It is a crime as per the rules of the game and it should not be encouraged," the former Pakistan captain added.
