Akorn, Inc. Announces Product Approval for Amiodarone Hydrochloride Injection.

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. -- Akorn, Inc. (AMEX:AKN) today announced that it has received an ANDA approval for Amiodarone Hydrochloride Injection. The product will be manufactured in the Decatur, IL Facility, and is the sixth product approval received by Akorn this year.

Arthur S. Przybyl, Akorn's President and Chief Executive Officer stated, "We are pleased to announce this latest product approval. Amiodarone is an antiarrhythmic drug product that is used to treat irregular heartbeats."
