diltiazem hydrochloride 
 Injection, 5mg/mL in 25 mL vials. The product will be manufactured in the Decatur, IL facility, and is the seventh product approval received by Akorn this year.

Arthur S. Przybyl, Akorn's President and Chief Executive Officer stated, "We are pleased to announce this latest product approval. Diltiazem is used to treat high blood pressure and to control chest pain (angina). Akorn expects to launch Diltiazem in the fourth quarter."
