Akinal to install Rieter line.


Akinal, Baspinar, Gaziantep Gaziantep (gä'zēän`tĕp), formerly Aintab (īntäb`), city (1990 pop. 627,584), capital of Gaziantep prov., S Turkey. , Turkey, will add a new spunbond line to its operations in an effort to meet growing demand for hygiene hygiene, science of preserving and promoting the health of both the individual and the community. It has many aspects: personal hygiene (proper living habits, cleanliness of body and clothing, healthful diet, a balanced regimen of rest and exercise); domestic hygiene  products in Turkey and neighboring neigh·bor

The new line, developed by Rieter-Perfojet, will be housed in a new building adjacent to Akinal's current spunlace facilities. It is set to come onstream at the end of 2005. It will bring Akinal's total nonwovens output to 140,000 tons per year and raise its export level from 10% to 50% within the next several years.
