Akibia and eTrue Recognize Customer Service Gains; Biometric Authentication Company Implements ECRM Solution.

Business/Technology Editors

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 3, 2001

"Akibia's eCRM solution puts vital information at the fingertips "Fingertips" is a 1963 number-one hit single recorded live by "Little" Stevie Wonder for Motown's Tamla label. Wonder's first hit single, "Fingertips" was the first live, non-studio recording to reach number-one on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in the United States.  of our Security Analysts," explained eTrue Chairman Michael Kuperstein. "This eCRM solution allows us to provide 100 percent user authentication, and provides us with a level and quality of customer service that sets the standard for our industry. This is one of eTrue's differentiators in the marketplace, and an important key to our competitive advantage."

eTrue's Internet outsourcing service authenticates users logging onto secure websites or local networks. Users are verified through multiple biometrics, such as face and fingerprint verification, providing 100 percent authentication. In order to guarantee such accuracy and reliability, eTrue relies on highly responsive customer support for the rare exceptions that occur.

That's when Akibia's eCRM system takes over: It captures the type of exception, what equipment may need replacing, and detailed information on the person seeking authentication, including a picture for visual comparison. An eTrue Security Analyst can instantly decide whether to approve or deny the authentication request.

Not only did Akibia's solution need to be fail-safe, but it had to be implemented in short order. eTrue was only four weeks away from product launch when they encountered issues with their original eCRM provider which resulted in a complete change in architecture - something that normally takes months to implement. eTrue contracted with Akibia based on the firm's extensive eCRM experience. Because eTrue's product was still in the development and testing stages, they needed a partner who was not only fast, but also was willing to work with them through the changing development cycle.

"eTrue knew they needed to find an eCRM provider that they could trust," said Adam Honig, President of Akibia's Consulting Division. "It's because we know eCRM inside and out that we could turn this project around in record time."

The eTrue service is now available and has been implemented with several customers, including NASA, whose employees are using the eTrue service to logon to NASA servers from remote locations while keeping their work secure.
