LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Akeena Solar, Inc. (OTCBB:AKNS) announced it will exhibit at the Solar Power 2006 Conference at booths 125 and 126 in the San Jose Convention Center Expo Hall from October 16 -19. Additionally, management will participate in the following events:

* Thursday, October 19th at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, Barry Cinnamon will be moderating the "My Life as a Solar Installer" panel discussion.

* Thursday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Akeena will co-sponsor the "Celebrating Solar Innovation" Wine and Food Pairing Reception with Applied Materials, Inc.
