With total revenue for 2005 of $283.1 million, a 35 percent increase over 2004, Akamai's one-year change in revenue ranked among the top for publicly held companies in Massachusetts. According to the metrics developed by Standard & Poors for The Globe 100, Akamai increased its profit margin 608 percent last year, and the Company's 131.7 percent return on average equity was the highest return of any company on The Globe 100 list.
