) - Ajinomoto has completed its acquisition of Amoy Food Group companies from Danone Asia, a subsidiary of Groupe Danone Groupe Danone (Euronext: BN, NYSE: DA) (known as Dannon in the United States) is a food-product company with its central headquarters in Paris, France. Amoy Food Group includes Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  Amoy Food Group, which has Amoy Food (Hong Kong) that produces and sells Chinese ethnic sauces under the Amoy brand as well as Convenience Foods International (Hong Kong) that produces and sells frozen foods under the Amoy and Royal Dragon brands.

Through Amoy Food Group, Ajinomoto now owns 60% of Shanghai Amoy Foods Group that produces and sells Chinese ethnic sauces under the Amoy brand in major Chinese cities.
