In the gym or on the jogging trail, at the beach or poolside, AIWA's newest Cross Trainer portable CD players deliver crystal clear, uninterrupted music thanks to their rugged design and exceptional shock protection.

 Cross Trainer series is a line of "go anywhere" portable audio products distinguished from more pedestrian models by their water-resistant and sturdy design. At the top of the line are two portable CD players certified as "joggable" by independent laboratory tests that show they can be used while jogging without skipping. What's more, one model provides the added bonus of a built-in AM/FM AM/FM Amplitude Modulation / Frequency Modulation
AM/FM Auto-Mapping/Facilities Management
 tuner, providing a choice of CD or radio listening.

Both AIWA Cross Trainer portable CD players, the XP-SP911 and the tuner-equipped XP-SR311, sport the line's unique black, purple and silver color scheme, and each comes with a sports pouch for carrying the player. Rubber gaskets around the lid, buttons and switches seal out moisture, sand and dirt so the players can be used virtually anywhere. Each also comes with a water-resistant neckband headphone See headphones.  that wraps around the back of the neck for a more comfortable and secure fit.

Shock protection is provided by AIWA's E.A.S.S. Plus, which combines extremely precise control of the laser pickup with a design that's able to tolerate horizontal motion. This is supplemented with 48-second memory back-up for rock solid performance.

Other shared features a three-LED battery indicator for monitoring battery strength and Dynamic Super Linear Bass for outstanding bass performance. In addition, both players are CD-R/RW compatible, which means that they can play CDs made on a CD recorder. A pair of AA batteries powers each player, providing 30 hours of playback for the XP-SP911 and 20 hours of playback for the XP-SR311.

Suggested retail prices are $110.00 for the XP-SP-911 and $140.00 for the XP-SR-311.
