The testing was completed at Airspan's research and development center in Uxbridge, UK using building gateway products manufactured by GlobaLoop and other state-of-the-art equipment to test real world scenarios and provide a true carrier-class environment for certification.

"Integrating Airspan's reliable and scaleable fixed broadband wireless access systems with Building Gateway solutions from GlobaLoop greatly enhances the business case for multi-tenant facilities," said Airspan Networks' Vice President of Business Development, Chris Rogers Chris Rogers may refer to

The GlobaLoop Building Gateway, which is ideal for multi-tenant units (MTU's), small offices and residential buildings, utilizes the existing copper wire telephone infrastructure, eliminating the need for new wiring. It is an integrated, IP-based platform that provides fast and convenient voice and Internet access to multiple independent users within a single facility. The Building Gateway is a fully scaleable plug and play solution. There is no need for new cables, nor is there a need to install NIC (1) (Network Interface Card) See network adapter. Each individual subscriber in the building connects via a DSL modem or V90 modem to the gateway for Internet services. The gateway consolidates the IP traffic and connects via an Airspan wireless DSL subscriber terminal to the Internet via a 100/10 Ethernet connection. The gateway is scalable from 4 to 48 simultaneously connected users within the facility and supports concentration.

"Airspan has a good understanding of the MTU (1) (Maximum Transmission Unit, Maximum Transfer Unit) The largest frame size that can be transmitted over the network. For example, an Ethernet MTU is 1,500 bytes. Messages longer than the MTU must be divided into smaller frames.  market which expects complete Internet solutions all the way to the subscriber," said Avi Miron, Co-Founder and VP of Business Development for GlobaLoop. "By combining Airspan's reliable and scaleable broadband access system with G.Loop, we are able to deliver superior cost-effective services to the end user, right up to the home or office."
