Airspan Networks Awarded $1 Million Wireless DSL Order by PT YMM of Indonesia.

Airspan Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:AIRN), a leading global provider of fixed broadband wireless DSL networks, announced today that it has received a $1 million order for wireless DSL equipment by PT Yuta Mitra Mandiri of Indonesia.

The order from PT YMM is for Airspan's AS4000 wireless DSL network to provide voice and video conferencing services in the Kutai province of East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

PT YMM will initially provide voice and video conferencing services to subscribers in the Tengarong area of the Kutai province. The voice and video conferencing services will be expanded to cover all subscribers in the region by the end of the first quarter of 2003, with and more than 3,000 subscribers to be serviced in the first phase of the deployment.

With the teledensity in the Kutai province low, demand for these voice, data and video conferencing services is high, therefore creating an opportunity for network expansion to serve an additional 10,000 subscribers as part of the initial rollout.
