On 30 June, a CH-53E Super Stallion The Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion (Sikorsky S-80E), is the largest and heaviest helicopter in the United States military. Sailors commonly refer to the Super Stallion as the "Hurricane Maker" because of the downward thrust the helicopter generates.  of Marine Aircraft Group 29 suffered Class A damage and some aircrew injuries were reported when the nose landing gear collapsed while taxiing at MCAS New River, N.C., causing the rotor blades to hit the ground and the helicopter.
