Spain is to bring in new security rules from 13 June 2007, the harshest yet imposed by a European government on intra-EU services. From that date onwards passengers on all flights to and from Spain will have to supply advance passenger information (API (Application Programming Interface) A language and message format used by an application program to communicate with the operating system or some other control program such as a database management system (DBMS) or communications protocol. ) to the Spanish authorities.
