Airport's record bid.


AIRPORT bosses are expecting a record-breaking year for the west of Ireland Ireland, Irish Eire (âr`ə) [to it are related the poetic Erin and perhaps the Latin Hibernia], island, 32,598 sq mi (84,429 sq km), second largest of the British Isles. .

Although overall traveller numbers fell last year it is hoped numbers will be boosted to 700,000 in 2008.

Ireland West Airport Knock chief Robert Grealis said: "With our new routes, together with the good news that bmibaby will start a new route to Glasgow, we are projecting passenger volumes will increase by a quarter."
