Airport's numbers plunge.

But he insisted Prestwick's p r o s p e c t s r e m a i n e d "excellent" and pointed to the fact budget operators Ryanair Ryanair (ISEQ: RYA, LSE: RYA, NASDAQ: RYAAY) is an Irish airline headquartered in Dublin, with its biggest operational base situated in London Stansted Airport in the UK.  recently laid on more winter flights as a positive sign.

He added: "The summer 2010 schedule is now to over 30 destinations."

Earlier this month, figures showed Britain's 33 busiest airports had all reported lower figures for the first eight months of the year.
